Late last week, reports surfaced of Demand Media and USA Today Reaching a deal in which Demand would contribute content to USA Today's website. This is interesting because is an example of the controversial Demand Media penetrating conventional media of news. I spoke with Demand about the partnership and the prospect of similar partnerships in the future.

It's Not News Content
Now, the Demand is not contributing actual news content to USA Today, and this is an important fact to note. Demand Media CEO Richard Rosenblatt has made it clear in the past that the content of Demand is not journalism. "Only the journalists call us journalists," he said in a board of SXSW I attended last month.
However, that does not mean that a news organization' can find room for the kind of content that Demand offers. USA Today see clearly some value there, without jeopardizing its actual news content. Demand is contributing content for a new section in US Current place called Travel Tips, and Demand tells us this creates additional revenue opportunities for both parties.
"Travel Tips serves as a resource for travelers to provide functional tips and guidance on realistic situations," Demand Media Chief Marketing Officer Dave Pair says WebProNews. &Quot; readers that want practical advice, such as how to find low airfare and the rates of the hotel, the tips for traveling with kids on a business trip, etc. The The trip Inclines section is initially launching with more than 4,000 unique articles from Demand Media and a new series video that represents Rolf Potts, the well-known travel expert, to attract audiences who will be engaged around the pertinent and useful one travel-related content that they seek."

"To enable this kind of partnership, Demand Media has built a completely scalable platform to commission, create and deliver high value content our partners' websites," he adds. &Quot; to provide the sum of Demand Media's capabilities to predict valuable content topics, commission and manage the production of extraordinary articles and videos, syndicate the content through the the website of publisher, and optimizes the traffic and financial performance.
Demand Media Content to Penetrate More Mainstream News Publications?
Part of Demand Media's strategy moving forward is to look for associations with greater media outlets. "This is the type of situation where all - the consumers, the creators, media outlets, and us - all win," says Even. &Quot; there is an interesting one opportunity to incrementally grow the audience and income of increase in conventional media companies - in a way that doesn't compete with what they currently does. “
" better than all, we are able do it in a way that doesn't require any investment from the company of media - and that's a welcome prospect in this economic environment, "concludes. &Quot; and in our end - we benefit from the expanded distribution and the reach that these associations provide."
It will be quite interesting to see if more major media organizations takes advantage of what Demands Media content has to offer. It may allow them to capitalize on more search the traffic of motor, upon not having to compromise their own journalistic resources. Demand and US income today parted of announcement of the content, and USA Today doesn't have to pay for the content itself.
Is offering content such as Demand Media's a good way for news companies to bring in some extra revenue? Tell us what you think.

It is taken as read that anybody who has anything to do with the odds, the stakes and the bets are either a bookmaker or a punter. There are varying degrees of gambler of the coincidental pound in the Grand National through the problem gambler putting their mortgage on a horse to the professional player that does a steady living from betting.
Professional gamblers are a breed apart. They often specialise in an alone area to wager, tennis matches or football or horses. To make a living from betting full time takes dedication and determination. You must be prepared to spend hours of its time that studies form and calculating value. You must have the discipline to withstand long losing runs without breaking of its strategy.
On the other hand consider the professional sports trader who utilizes the changes to that wager scalp a few ticks from an event. They often have no the knowledge of the fundamental event. To them it is just a numbers I play, the prices rise and down and they buy low and sell to obtain high profits.
The big difference between a trader and a gambler is that a merchant never permits a bet ride. They buy and sell then get out often spreading the potential profit on each result to guarantee a return for their efforts.
So why then is the sport that trade often confused with gambling? Why do people look down on lights up merchants and (** seems still). There seem to be a to have more respect for oil futures traders or forex traders? and to wager. This is probably unconscious link in the minds of the public at large between sports does that the only way understandable seeing as it is not too many years the professional route of player and to profit from sports long term was to take the sport are exactly the same one spend your life studying your chosen market.
